Microsoft Windows & MS-DOS

Some systems sold by Retro-IT may be supplied with Microsoft operating systems, including (but not limited to):

Older systems: Where applicable, older Microsoft operating systems may be supplied with original licence media or certificate (e.g., COA/user agreement) where available.

Microsoft Windows and MS-DOS are proprietary software products and are distributed under Microsoft’s licensing terms. All Microsoft trademarks and intellectual property remain the property of Microsoft Corporation. Retro-IT / ReSale-IT Ltd is not affiliated with or endorsed by Microsoft.

Linux & open-source software (where supplied)

Some Retro-IT systems may also include open-source components (drivers, utilities, tools) and/or a Linux-based OS where listed. The majority of such software is distributed under recognised open-source licences including (but not limited to):

These licences permit commercial redistribution, modification, and resale. ReSale-IT Ltd does not claim ownership of any open-source software supplied. All intellectual property remains with the respective authors and projects.

- Most open-source packages are sourced from unmodified upstream repositories.
- Source can be obtained directly from official project repositories.
- On written request, we will provide information on how to obtain the exact
  corresponding source code for the installed binaries.

As required by GPL terms, customers are entitled to access the source code of applicable components.

Proprietary drivers, firmware & codecs

Certain hardware drivers, firmware, or multimedia codecs may be proprietary and are included under their respective licences. These components remain the intellectual property of their rights holders and are redistributed in accordance with their licence terms.

Support & warranty clarification

ReSale-IT Ltd provides hardware warranty as stated on individual product listings.
System installation and configuration support is provided where advertised.
Retro-IT is a trading name of ReSale-IT Ltd and is not affiliated with Microsoft or other upstream software projects unless explicitly stated.

Trademarks
